Apex UC500-XL Steel Basket Folding Cargo Carrier

No dislikes. Quality, Quality, Quality, what can I say. Very heavy duty and just what I needed to transport my Mobility Scooter. The maker of this transport thought of every thing that is important.

This thing is well constructe, heavy duty. It will hold 500 pounds and I'm not the least bit worried it won't. It's super easy to assemble. One person could probably do it but I recommend two just based on weight. The number of tie down points is perfect. It has so many I didn't enemy's count them all but if you can't find a tie down point you need to find a new way to secure your cargo. I'm using this for a power chair. I see it being in my future for a good many years.The unit goes from edge of my SUV to the other edge with the ramp stopper/knob thing sticking out. That apparatus still doesn't extend further than the mirror. If the front of your vehicle makes it through a spot do will this ramp.I'll also be using this for appluance purchases, yes it's that deep. Probably only a refrigerator wouldn't fit.I'm very pleased with this product and it's seller.

Ramp bracket (Part D) is too flimsy. If I can get an additional one it may be sturdy enough to allow the Spring Pull Pins (E) to work without binding. The Carrier Rack and Ramp is too heavy for one man to fold up against the tailgate of my truck. I would not have bought this carrier if I knew this.

Very sturdy and well built cargo carrier. I am using it to transport a mini-golf cart, (Cricket) which weighs in atjust over 300lbs. Assembly was not difficult other than the heft. I assembled it myself, but a second pair of hands would have been useful. The UC500XL assembled is around 150lbs so you may need help to mount and dismount to your hitch, but it can be lifted into the vertical position so you may choose to leave it in place once mounted. The only con I have found so far is the paint is not very good and seems to nick or slight scratch very easily which then quickly rusts.

I think the carrier is well made and can handle a load as recommended. everything works as advertised. I had a little problem aligning the cinch pins. the pins were tight in the holes. A little assist with a round file made the hole accept the pins. I am very pleased with the product and the advertised description.

in general works well the problems are :1. even when closing all the screws the device is wobbly.2. the screws need threadlock as they open up after minutes because of the vibrations.3.taking out the pins that hold the device vertical or horizontal (in order to fold it up-words) is extremely hard and you are going to need tools in order to take them out and put them back in4. the black rubber rings that are installed in the 4 big holes fall right off and I had to glue them .
