Great sound, hard to trust water seal.
The sound quality is superior to any similar water resistant product I've tried. My only knock on this unit is that a more secure watertight covering in the back would be ideal. Replacing the rubber press gasket with something more substantial with a thumbscrew would make me feel more comfortable when this thing gets dunked. No water issues yet though.

Water pooling on upward facing speaker = bad sound in wet conditions. Good when dry.
Would get 4 or 5 stars because sound is very good... UNTIL it gets a good splash or it's in steady rain, at which point the sound quality majorly deteriorates. If you shake it the water water comes out and sound improves but not even close to as good as it is dry. Seems like water is probably pooling on the top "base" woofer which is actually more of a low to mid-range speaker. I don't expect it to sound great when water is actively splashing on it, but my summary is it simply doesn't drain well, especially in the upright position. So if you leave it in even a misty drizzle after a little while it starts sounding like it's well... underwater.

Survived a capsized Kayak in strong current!
We bought this for Kayaking. Needed something that was water proof, not water resistant and could connect Bluetooth to a phone. We tested it out at home first. My wife easily had it paired up with her phone shortly after getting it out of the box. I was one room away when she first fired it up and was amazed by the sound quality. Bluetooth reach was consistent with other reviews and would occasionally cut out from around 10 ft away. But I expected as much given how soundly built the exterior is. Also, we just needed it to reach 5-6ft to our phones on the kayak. Then the real test. We took it out for a 12 mile kayak adventure. The battery outlived the phone battery. We dropped it in the water and it floated just as promised with no sound issues. Then we had an accident. The speaker was clipped onto the top of a kayak that crashed into a tree and flipped. The kayak got wedged between trees and completely submerged in a strong current. The speaker spent about 30 minutes several feet underwater with the current flowing directly over it. Still worked great several hours later after we got home! Like nothing happened!Definitely recommend this for use on any vehicle or person, especially if there is a good chance of getting submerged.

One of the best portable Bluetooth speakers on the water
Fantastic little speaker. I have two of them mounted in my boats T-Top. They connect to my radio via Bluetooth. Added an adapter to my built-in radio to allow it to connect up to two Bluetooth speakers simultaneously. Saved me the trouble or snaking wires through my boat just to connect 2 low quality speakers.

Just what I needed
Love this speaker. Has a pretty good sound to it. It's not loud but it works for what I need! Laying on the beach with my dog playing some reggae.

Bose sound, safe for dogs and pools.
Range isn't amazing but the sound is superb! And then when you take outside and the dog knocks it in the pool, you don't have to worry, it's waterproof and floats! Watch out bose.
